What’s Going On Here?
I've written about:
being an aimless college graduate. being a student. being a nurse. being pregnant. being a mom. being a mom to a little girl with leukemia.
I hope to add to that list someday but, for now, we are learning to live in limbo.
Writing here to keep a record of Elsa's treatment. Writing here to reach out to other families dealing with leukemia. Writing here for a little bit of sanity.
Thank-you for sharing this part of your life with us. While it is very tragic it, in the end, is a story about how strong, beautiful, loving, and miraculous, you, Elsa, John, and life in general are. I love you and you are all in my thoughts.
Katie
Thanks Katie! Surely, we don’t feel very strong day to day, but it helps to write about it and it certainly helps when people leave us such nice words.
Dear Georgia,
I’ve been thinking about you and Elsa so much lately. My heart is breaks for you and John. Please know that when you are feeling the lowest or the saddest or the angriest — be it in the morning, afternoon or middle of the night — you are all in my prayers.
Thanks for stopping by Beverly and for the kind thoughts. It really means a lot to us.
Reading your most recent post.. been there! Ugh, I know exactly how you feel! Think of the three of you all the time, sending prayers for that little beauty every day!
Thanks for stopping by Krisit! Hope you and Abbie are well and enjoying the holidays
George – Loving reading this blog. Thinking about you, John, and Elsa! I got back to my running this morning and was thinking about what you said about committing to doing something for 21 days makes it a habit (here’s hoping for us both!). You are amazing. Keep writing, talking, and laughing!
Love,
Liza
Georgia,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you consider doing an endurance race in your daughter’s honor. It will be a good way to relief the stress of the day in/day out, sometimes overwhelming days where our thoughts are consumed by leukemia, worry, cancer, chemo, etc. I just read a little bit of your blog so far. Elsa is beautiful! And you have a true gift for writing. I will definitely keep you in my prayers and by all means, feel free to contact me with any questions. We are only 2 months away from end of treatment and I cannot wait! It’s a long road but you will get there!!!
