My 2.5 hour bike ride today

KEY

More on this whole fiasco later.

(And I realize posting a map of my neighborhood sort of detracts from the anonymity of this particular Big City, but I’m not worried about it.)

Doomsday

I was SO excited to get this internship at Big City ER/Trauma. It seemed like the absolute best thing that could possibly ever happen to me. Now, with my internship starting tommorow – I have to face my terror at re-entering the nursing world. And the internship no longer feels quite as exciting. It has been almost two full months since I have even imagined a patient, let alone tinkered with an IV . . . and I really mean tinker, because that is really all I can do with them.

So I head to the hospital tommorow. Hopefully I won’t be asked to do anything beyond my capacity . . . for example . . . ANYTHING.

Will check in tomorrow with the results.
